These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TokenCode API gateway and related services (the "Service") operated by TokenCode ("we," "our," or "us") at tokencode.dev. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
TokenCode provides an AI model API gateway that aggregates access to multiple upstream AI providers (including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others) behind a unified, OpenAI-compatible API interface. The Service includes request routing, protocol conversion, load balancing, usage tracking, billing, and an administrative dashboard.
You must register an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Upon registration, you may create API keys to access the Service programmatically. API keys are confidential and must not be shared, published, or embedded in publicly accessible code or repositories. You are solely responsible for all usage associated with your API keys. If you suspect a key has been compromised, you must rotate or delete it immediately through the dashboard.

The Service uses a prepaid credit system. You purchase credits (quota) in advance, and usage is deducted based on the model, token counts, and applicable pricing. Pricing may vary by model, provider, and service tier. Current pricing is published on the Models page and may be updated from time to time.
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as stated in our refund policy. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.
We may offer free credits or promotional pricing from time to time. These offers may be subject to additional conditions and may be revoked or modified at our discretion.
Your use of the Service involves making requests to upstream AI providers through our gateway. Each provider has its own terms of service, acceptable use policies, and content guidelines. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with both these Terms and the policies of the relevant upstream providers. We are not responsible for the actions, policies, or availability of upstream providers.
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control, including upstream provider outages. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance.
The Service, its original content, features, and functionality are owned by TokenCode and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your use of the Service does not transfer any ownership rights. Output generated by AI models through the Service is subject to the policies of the respective upstream providers.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TOKENCODE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN; (C) ANY INTERRUPTION OR CESSATION OF TRANSMISSION TO OR FROM THE SERVICE; (D) ANY BUGS, VIRUSES, OR THE LIKE TRANSMITTED THROUGH THE SERVICE; OR (E) ANY ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN ANY CONTENT OR FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE INCURRED AS A RESULT OF THE USE OF ANY CONTENT POSTED, EMAILED, TRANSMITTED, OR OTHERWISE MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SERVICE.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TokenCode, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, is harmful to other users or the Service, or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Unused credits may be forfeited upon termination for cause. You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
